Bubbletop needs a Rockstar AJAX/Frontend Programmer!

We’re on the look-out for an AJAX and front-end developer to join the Bubbletop team here in San Francisco. Our plans for the service are getting so interesting that we need another body to help us keep up with the work!

Bubbletop Logo

Bubbletop is a soon-to-be-launched personalizable AJAX homepage with some interesting twists around social recommendation and our approach to community-built widgets.

There’s an ad on Craigslist, but basically we’re looking for someone with:

  • An excellent handle of xHTML, CSS, Javascript and solid experience working with AJAX
  • A standards-compliance and best-practice approach to their work
  • Ability to work in a small cross-discipline team
  • Experience with other programing languages/MVC approach would be nice to have
  • Any experience of building widgets or widget frameworks would be fantastic

We’re a small, close-knit ‘startup-style’ team working within Orange Labs here in San Francisco. Bubbletop is yet to launch and so there is massive opportunity to help the shape the future of this project which will hopefully be pretty high-profile.

TechCrunch has written about us and we’ve not even given Michael Arrington a demo yet!

And for those who have been burned by under-funded startups – Bubbletop is backed by Orange, you know you’re going to get paid at the end of the month! No start-up funding dramas here.

We’re looking to offer this out on contract for now. The $$$ depends on experience, but I’m sure the successful applicant will be happy with the package.

If you’d like to know more about the position, please drop me an email along with your resume and some examples of your work. My email address for this is bubbletop (AT) benmetcalfe.com
