Good friends and regular readers of this blog will know that in addition to working for the BBC, I also like to work on other interesting projects via my dotBen Interactive Systems vehicle.
Despite the fact that the BBC would prefer it if I didn’t conduct external extra curricula activities, I feel it’s an important way to keep my toes dipped in other areas of the industry that I would not normally spend time working on during the course of my day-to-day employment.
Well, I was all ready to start a big project with a friend of mine and had cleared out my diary from December going forward. However he, or the people financially backing his project to be exact, have decided not to bring me on until at least after Xmas.
With that in mind, that leaves me somewhat free to take on another project at least for a few months (possibly longer).
So, if you’re running any of the following and would be interested in a consultant/running-mate/advisor/tech-bod, let me know:
- Start-up
- Cool social-media/blogging/podcasting/etc project
- Open Media/Open Source/Community project
- (Dare I say it) Web2.0 proposition
- Etc
In terms of money or anything like that, I’m not normally hung up on that 🙂 (unless you’re raking it in already).
I’m much more interested in finding positive and engaging projects with potential. Send me details of what you are currently doing, and what you want from me, instead!
In terms of time, I normally have between 10 and 20 hours a week to spend on these kinds of projects. If you want to see a copy of my CV, check the blog page.
