Google BlogSearch = more spam

Jeremy’s right, since Google BlogSearch came on stream, my comment spam has rocketed.

Time to dig out the WordPress anti-spam plugins. Any recommendations?

Clearly the Google Blog Search doesn’t really work properly, Ben.

I searched ‘hepatitis c’ and checked the first 15 pages of entries (saddd!) and NOT ONE mention of ‘My Hepatitis C’ Weblog, which has a Google rating and, on an ordinary Google search, is the second item listed.

And you’re right – the first two comment spams for months have shown up this week. But if my blog isn’t coming up on Google Blog Search – how are the blighters getting at my site?

Just turn on comment moderation Ben, there you can allow trusted people to make comments while filtering out spam manually with the click of the button.
