You could bill my bit as:
“AO/Technorati Open Media 100 ‘Honourably Mentioned’ and industry forward thinker Ben Metcalfe will address the audience at the 2005 Open Tech Conference with his keynote speech about remix culture at the BBC – backstage.bbc.co.uk.”
However, I like to think of it as little old me talking to you, my friends, about what I’ve been working on at the BBC for the last 6 months.
backstage.bbc.co.uk is proud to be title sponsoring this year’s Open Tech 2005 event (formerly known as NTK Not Con). It’s a great day of all things tech – from web services to hardware hacking.
Some highlights include:
- Jeremy Zawodny (Yahoo!) and myself taking about our developer networks
- Ted Nelson, inventor of hyperlinks
- George Wright on some cool PVR stuff
- Plus the usual suspects (Cory D, Paula Le D, Danny O’B, etc)
I hope you can come, but please remember you need to secure your ticket in advance in order to guarantee entry on the day.
See you on the 23rd (which is the day before my birthday, btw).
