So I learned to live on what I earn. This is long-standing, and affected my children's lives too. More recently, I've had three surgeries in the past 18 months related to cancer. My how life does impose itself on us. I have not reneged on any rent or betrayed my principles in order to live. I could have gone back into whoring, really I could have, but I won't. Someone put this forth, and I apologize to whomever did for putting it here with attribution: How much would he have wanted to be paid to link to racist sites? Wanted to answer some of your questions, as well let you know that I am definitely pointing this information out (the things at the bottom). He attempted last year to help get funds from the readers of Alas, and some helped out a little, but ultimately not enough for Barry to be consistently losing money each month running the blog which was becoming a hard thing for him to negotiate with his server admins who couldn't handle the traffic that the blog generated. He then switched to trying for feminist friendly advertisements and while he got a few, again it wasn't enough to pay the bills.
